Karoline was born and raised in Warsaw, Poland and moved to Canada in 1985.  She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Waterloo and along with solo shows, has participated in juried exhibitions in Ontario and abroad.  She is a painter and creates mixed media book works.

Karoline is interested in conceptions of time and place and as such questions the definition of reality.  The definition of time and place is different for a child, an elderly, for the mentally and terminally ill.  The conceptions of reality extend into how we view our subconscious and our beliefs about mortality and spirituality.  In her work Karoline tries to explore the overlapping of possible “realities”, adjacent to our tangible one.
